Why is the fashion to keep their hair short anyway?



I am a Sampson type woman I suppose...

I dreamed I was a vampire. Guess what I did?



I became the greatest surfer in the world and was constantly traveling the world in search of the best fresh waves. I was known as "Shark Slayer" and the locals all were glad when I was around because there were never any problems with the man-eaters (although they didn't know why). My god, hadn't they just met their match? While waiting for riders the damn things would sneak along under my board I would read their puny little thoughts and wait until they were almost there - then - WHAM! I would hit them and bite them and bleed them dry...then with my preternatural strength I threw them far out to sea as a warning. It was heeded in my dreams.



I was able to learn to surf with no problems. How could the undertow frighten me now? The nasty spills? It became so easy and the Beach Boys aren't lying when they sing, "Catch a Wave.” I was sitting on top of the world and riding high.



I never thought much about it until I had this dream - but if I were immortal, that is what I would do. Some of you have art, some have books, and some have their own thoughts about what a vampire "should" do - but me, I'd surf. I'd have those other things too - sometimes. But the call of the ocean and to ride the waves - nothing is more sublime than that peace and oneness with the mighty ocean. Shark Slayer - the Night Surfer - that is my dream of being an immortal.



Crazy - but it would be so true if that were my fate.
